Community Mentorship

Community Mentors help you strengthen your independent living skills through collaborative, hands-on, recovery-focused support. Together, we identify goals and develop practical strategies to support positive changes in your daily life.

We Support

  • People developing or strengthening independent living skills
  • Individuals transitioning to community living
  • Those benefiting from structured peer support
  • People motivated to work toward practical goals

How We Help

What Community Mentors Help With

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) — hygiene, household routines, meal preparation
  • Financial management and budgeting
  • Goal-setting and problem-solving
  • Building confidence and motivation
  • Developing independence
  • Strengthening life and coping skills

How It Works

  • Your mentor works alongside you on practical, task-based goals
  • Plans are collaborative and reflect your priorities
  • Progress is tracked and celebrated
  • Support is tailored to your pace and needs

The focus of a Community Mentor is to help people understand how successfully managing their Activities of Daily Living can move them forward in recovery — building the skills to live to their fullest potential in the community, and to more successfully avoid crisis.
